Photo shoot!
Had such a great time at the photoshoot!
Slightly stressful morning hand sewing the fur onto the coat as I really wanted to get it photographed, how lovely and shiny it is!
Many thanks go to Jesse- photographer, Tina and Tina from hair and beauty TTG Tafe, Shannon- model from Finesse and Aurum Rundle St for loaning me the gorgeous rings (the purple one may be going on my christmas list....)

just a few buttons to go.....................
Shouldn't take too long!
If I had a dollar for each time I said this; well I guess I would be paying someone to sew these on!
my loverly buttons are from button bar in Adelaide Arcade, very pretty, with a pricetag to match unfortunately!

Fabrics, Glorious Fabrics!
Being a little afraid of patterns my collection is driven rather by colour. Rich jewel tones in high quality fibres with subtle textures and finishes. Unfortunately my photos do not do some of the fabrics justice especially the amber coloured silk charmeuse, so much more vibrant and intense than can be captured by my camera!
The ruby red and the deep purple satin back crepe will be incorporated using both sides of the fabric to create a deeper textural element.
My love of navy blue as a base colour is being represented by an amazing wool suiting, super fine and soft with a lovely drape and slight sheen and my wool cashmere blend coating, so soft and warm however remaining sleek and elegant.
And lastly my rabbit furs! ahh so soft and supple with an incredible natural sheen that hasnt been lost in the dying process. The sheen is something that just cannot be replicated by faux fur, well at least none I have seen or have access to. The deep brown of the fur looks so rich and elegant paired with the wool coating and if there is enough leftover will make an amazing full collar/scarfe that would look incredibly luxe against the amber silk charmeuse. fingers crossed!
And who supplied these incredible fabrics...... Catwalk fabrics in Brompton, Eastern Silk, Jackson Furs in Brisbane and through Alan Broadbent; Davisha Textiles and Fabric Exchange.
